Event Overview

The annual Inbound Trade Event is an opportunity for inbound agents to meet with each Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) in Aotearoa New Zealand. The purpose of the event is for dedicated time between the regions and agents to provide each other on updates. For RTOs, this is an update on new products or initiatives in the region and for agents, this is to advise RTOs of the potential opportunities from their clients. 

The event format is as follows: 

  • Tuesday and Wednesday are mirror days of each other with inbound agent participants being owners, senior inbound tour company managers and new staff from ITO’s.
  • The format will be one-on-one appointments between each RTO and each inbound tour company lasting approximately 12 minutes. It is round-robin format, so each ITO sees each RTO in a sequential manner.
  • You are welcome to bring more than one RTO staff member.
  • We try and limit the ITO’s to no more than 3-4 in each of their groups.
  • If we are over-subscribed we reserve the right to pair up solo ITO’s who are complementary to each other, and with their mutual agreement.
  • Each day will run from 8.30am – 5.30pm. Please ensure you have staff available at your table for the full duration of these times.
  • Set up on Tuesday – access to the room from 7.00am. Please ensure your set-up is complete by 8:00am.

Venue & Accommodation

We have secured Ballroom 1&2 at the Crowne Plaza for this event. To access the best available accommodation rate, you are advised to join the IHG One Rewards Program at the Crowne Plaza.  

Cost to Attend

The indicative cost to attend is $1600 + GST per RTO. The cost does depend on the number of RTOs who participate as the costs are divided equally. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are included in each of the days. Your travel to and from Auckland, accommodation, and meals outside of the event are additional and are to be covered by you.
