Megan Williams
Sustainability Advocate, Tourism Industry Aotearoa
Megan has been involved with government and private Sustainable Tourism Initiatives for over 20 years. She led the successful WellingtonNZ sustainable capability building tourism project in 2021.
She has facilitated community sustainability events on the future of tourism, managed various accreditation programmes including the Sustainable Tourism Project (Ministry for the Environment/Ministry of Tourism) in Wanaka from 2005-2008. Megan is also a Director of Southern Tourism Ltd (Wanaka Wine Tours and Discover Wanaka) and a recent Board member of Lake Wanaka Tourism (2016-2020).
Most of all Megan is passionate about creating and driving community led sustainability projects.
