Melissa is the Destination Manager for RotoruaNZ.
Having worked in the Rotorua Tourism & Hospitality industry since I was 19 with a wide variety of work experience and formal training spanning across the Visitor Information Centre, Rotorua Convention Bureau, and International Sales & Marketing. My management experience started in my late 20’s when I headed up an adventure park with 24 staff and progressed when I became a minor shareholder in OGO Rotorua/ZORB. And as a side hustle I have developed & managed the Crankworx Rotorua expo since its inception in 2015.
I joined the team at RotoruaNZ in January 2022 as Destination Manager which draws on my wide experience of running businesses coupled with the ability to give projects momentum bringing people and resources together to achieve outcomes. In general anything to do with leadership, branding, storytelling and the business of tourism is my jam.
