Bluff born and Hawke’s Bay raised & resident, Karl has a 30+ year career at the strategic, creative and transformative end of developing new products, services and experiences. He works within Te Ao Māori and across a number of the ‘NZ Inc’ agencies as a cultural and creative guide developing globally compelling brands and stories for international markets, including work with NZ Story, Tourism NZ and Education NZ.
He is a current Board Member of Hawke’s Bay Tourism and a recent member of the Tourism Industry Advisory Group providing advice to MBIEs Tourism Policy Team for the Tourism Innovation Fund recently announced by the Hon. Stuart Nash, Minister of Tourism.
