Stacey Linton
Head of Strategy & Insights at Tourism Bay of Plenty
Stacey joined Tourism Bay of Plenty near the end of 2018, when the organisation was in the midst of moving to a destination management organisation and was nearing the end of the scoping and research phase of the destination management plan development process. With her background in research and using insights to inform strategy, she was pulled into the team to help shape TBOP’s first Destination Management Plan. At the heart of this plan is the goal of helping to shape, support, and lead a regenerative tourism industry – a kaupapa that resonated strongly with Stacey’s personal values. Since then, she has been involved in the re-iterating of TBOP’s destination management plan to ensure it stays relevant and up-to-date and providing the insights to inform decision-making. She also heads the regenerative tourism space for TBOP (with the help of a regenerative advisor). Outside of work, Stacey can often be found enjoying a good coffee at a local café, throwing frisbees, at the beach, or exploring walking tracks around the beautiful Coastal Bay of Plenty.
