Richard worked in advertising agencies and media organisations for over 20 years before founding an adventure tourism business in Tongariro National Park. He went on to sell his business prior to the arrival of COVID, completed an MBA with distinction at the University of Waikato, and enjoys getting outdoors and making the most of everything the sunny Bay of Plenty has to offer. In his current role, Richard is constantly on the lookout for data and insights to shape strategy and foster improved outcomes for the Bay of Plenty’s visitor economy, environment, and communities.
